I Wish

I wish I were a quicker wit

Then I might not feel like a twit

                    Sometimes

I wish I were rich

Then life might not be a bitch

                    It would be a life of riley

I wish everything was easy

Life would be so breezy

                    But that would be no fun

I wish wishes came true

Then I would not be so blue

                    Most of the time

But if wishes were true

Then that would skew

Our view

Of the zoo

                    Called life
