Here I sit broken-hearted
My best buddy has departed
Oh how will I ever survive
The grief and agony eating me alive

Fiends lost to the afterlife
Fill our hearts with strife
Losing a friend can cause pain
In our hearts and our brain

The loss of one’s parents
Nowhere hints
At the pain felt
When one is dealt
The blow of a friend’s death

The loss of a friend
Can bend
Our senses
Causing us to build fences
Around our hearts

So cherish your friends Right until the very end
With all your might
You never know when friends will take flight
