Add To A Poem #53

I am sorry to be late
Please don't hesitate

This challenge is fun
So don't procrastinate
Quill your thoughts
To deftly demonstrate
Your inspired skills
As Poet Laureate

So open the gate
Don’t wait
Spread some ink on paper
Write a little ditty
It doesn’t have to be witty
Let your creativity flow
Write or type
Whatever lights your pipe

Double your joys
Quadruple your happiness
As you write what you fee
Let the rain of your thoughts pour
Let the clouds of curiosity burst
Right here, right now

Add to a Poem # 48 - The Writing Adventure

The Writing Adventure

We are a community of writers
Members of The Writing Adventure
We are creative wordsmiths of eloquent letters
We quill from our core, concepts of what matters
And share intuitive perceptions,
Carved in spiritual discernment
That connects us, heart to heart, with compassion
We write from the heart
The words that
Bounce around inside our heads
Penning these words
Allow more to crop up
Creating more ideas and thoughts
So in a never ending circle
We write
Our words are sometimes jumbled,
Sometimes a mish-mash,
And other times they are wondrous,
Touching the hearts and minds
Of our readers
Making them smile
We are the writers of
The Writing Adventure
The writing adventure takes us places
It is an adventure
Whenever we journey on unmapped routes to places off the grid
Like the twisted
Rut filled road from hell
That is likely to harbour the scrubbiest,
Raunchiest, snaggletoothed rejects this side of the Mississippi!
And the journey continues
The journey is replete with joy
Our writes are like the sunshine
That emanates and lights up our souls
We are the writers of The Writing Adventure
We shall never be apart!

Add to a Poem #45 - Chaos

Chaos

I did not realize when the chaos began

That the sky was falling
Leaves were burning
Tight chains seemed to bind me tight
How would I get out of the pandemonium?
The tumult of the crowd
Seemed to fix me in space and time
A spectator frozen
Panic fueled the movement of all but a few
I thought about running
But where would I run to
Surveying I checked myself for injuries
It seemed that I had been left unscathed
Merely flattened by the blast
Others weren't so lucky
When high explosive turns a truck in shrapnel
Fate, bad luck, outrageous fortune and death
Are dealt out so randomly
The questions of a higher purpose become confused
Notions of God the Creator seem inappropriate
Misery draws the eye
Reality is suspended
Horror is just a freeze frame
The mind whirs
Time has no meaning
Fire, fire everywhere
Panic engulfs me
I struggle against
The chains that bind me
The chain breaks
With a loud snap
I am free
Pandemonium runs rampant
What am I to do
In this chaos
How am I to escape?
Comfort in this dirge is well spent
Wailing howls of souls lament
Where is that door in the wall
The battered pieces of hope, to haul
And gather strength to stand from this great fall
Through the ages, these catastrophic chaos
Has erupted seemingly without reason
But everything in life has a season
Perhaps my answer lies in definition
Trial and Consequence, that which is inevitably part of creation
And that which my choices incurred, mental confusion

Add To A poem #43 - Lovely Spring

Lovely Spring

Spring is almost here
The sun is so much warmer
Buds are appearing on limbs of trees
Birds are chirping happily
And Hearts, in search of love begins to cheer
Spring beckons, that special someone to appear
Hope the breezy wind gets that someone
The mild sunshine touches that heart as well
Wish the fresh aura attracts his attention
With me in that beautiful space!
The sun warms
The earth
Flowers bloom
Pleasant aromas
Waft on the breeze
Life begins anew
Sunshine and shadows
Hot rays on a cold days
Alluding to a sultry summer
