Faceless
Took
a trip
On
the hallucinogenic highway
Riding
in a spaceship
My
eyes were blind
Depriving
me of my sight
Yet
my mind
Wandered
all thru the night
Butterflies
flit
Into
the unlit
Recesses
of the brain
A
rowboat appeared
Then
disappeared
Going
down the drain
Then
from the deepest pit
Death
was seen
Outlined
in the light
The
highway ended
With
a bump
As
it bended
Towards
the dump
I
woke from
My
trip
On
the spaceship
Vowing
never to succumb
To
the hallucinogenic highway
Nonetheless
I looked
In
the mirror
Overcome
by fear
I
had become faceless
