I Talk To God

I talk to God

But the sky is empty

I cry out to him

To answer my prayer

My hope is dim

I despair

Then out of nowhere

Comes a hymn

Praising the Lord

Singing his praises

For days and days

By an angelic hoard

I understand his ways

He is my Lord

I talk to God

But the sky is empty
