Edging out happiness and joy

Raging

Through the mind and soul

Agony and anguish

Cruise relentlessly in the mind

Holding me hostage

Evermore

My Bane

Is Mary Jane
I used to love thee
Now you’re just a bane
On me

Smoking was such fun
Have a toke
And get spun
It was sad
A loke

Now it messes
With my life
Causing stresses
And strife

I pray
Everyday to our Lord
Begging him to take away
This discord

However, I know
Mary Jane you are
My woe
My scar

The only way
To beat you
To hold you at bay
Is to see through
My addiction
To rid myself of this affliction
