Hurt

Hurt
oh, mother Gaia
you sustain and nurture us
yet we destroy you

Connections

Connections
Connected, yet disconnected
Society is subjected
To much input
Yet society is hard put
To making the human connection

Our world is wired
Society is mired
In electronic gear
Hidden in our own sphere
Of reflection

Let us not forget
That our best asset
Is out gift of talk
And take stock
Of our electronic affection

Put down the electronics
And get back to frolics
With our fellow humans
Before it ruins
Our human connections

Springtime

Springtime
Springtime
A time of renewal
A time of rebirth
A time of death

Springtime
Trees bud
Blossoms bloom
Grass grows
Mother Nature renews

Springtime
Fish spawn
Wildlife births
Bugs hatch
Mother Nature is reborn

Springtime
Winter dies
Our Lord is crucified
Jack Frost exits
Giving way to Mother Nature

Delicate Rain Drops

Delicate Rain Drops
soft rain on the grass
mother nature’s gentle tears
watering the earth

The Queen

The Queen
There once was a haughty queen who
Liked to dress in shades of blue
Escorted by bugs
Who seemed to be slugs
She tended to act like a shrew

She had a fish for a servant
Who could be very observant
A lack of water
Meant he forgot her
As his near death was emergent
