Is There Anybody Out There?

Is there Anybody Out There?

Gazing blissfully at the night sky
A million million pinpricks of light
Are visible to my eye
As they brighten the night

Unaware of the time
Mind pondering
The vastness of the of nighttime

Overcome by the majesty
Of the galaxy
Feelings of smallness wash over me

Standing small and alone
I intone
Is there anybody out there?

Random Thoughts While Walking In The February Sunshine

 Random Thoughts Walking
In the February Sunshine

Walking
In the brilliant sunshine
Warm temps
Is this global warming
Maybe, possibly
Is it our Lord
Showing us his glory
I like to think so
Walking
In the sunshine

Melancholy

Melancholy

Merry melodies
Express emotion
Lugubrious lids
An annoying affliction
Nauseate no-one
Cheerless children
Heartbroken
On occasion
Love
You

Sunshine

Sunshine

Shining brightly
Under a blue sky
Nourishing flora
Sun shimmers serenely
Heating up the air
Invigorating life
Natural light is something
Everyone enjoys

Dragon Head

Dragon Head

Dragon head
Oh dragon head
Fantastic beast
Of imagination
Flying through the skies
Breathing fire
Spreading fear
Causing havoc
Now a finely
Crafted sculpture
Mounted
On a table
A trophy to behold

Reading

Reading

Reading by the pale moonlight
My mind begins to dream
I take flight
Floating on a moonbeam

Surrounded by trees
I am unconfined
By the vagries
Of my mind

I play the book
Like a piano

Babbling
A brook flows thru
Yet it has no beginning
Or end
Only a middle

Imaginings of a stimulated mind

I love to read
It can lead
Me
Anywhere

Lunch

Lunch

Fish on my plate
Ain’t that great
But wait
There’s a mermaid
Displayed
I’m dismayed

I wanted fish
Not mermaid
On my dish

Miss You My Friend

Miss You My Friend

One year ago today
My friend passed away

Cancer reared its ugly head
And shred
My friend’s life thread

My memory
Of you
Runs like a documentary
In the recess
Of my mind

I wrote this little ditty
To keep your memory alive
On my internal drive

Miss you Dunk ♥
